Improve Tennis Technique and Strokes

In order to Improve Tennis Technique, a player must understand these key principles that reveal a way to improve tennis strokes.

Tennis is a unique game that encompasses many factors. Mental, Physical and Emotional.

Improving your tennis means that you must improve the three above mentioned areas. One of the keys to improving your tennis game is by improving your tennis technique

When you watch professional tennis players on TV or in person, It's easy to see how much different they play than average tennis players.

They appear relaxed, fluid and rythmical. It is as if they are putting less work into the shot, but the result is incredible racket head speed. Quite simply, they are getting much more efficiency with alot less energy.

When lower level players play tennis, it appears as if they are attempting to hit the ball as hard as they can with as much sheer strength as they can muster, but the end results are mediocre shots that lack that power ot topspin that they want.

The big secret lies in the tennis technique and strokes. Top players have learned to adapt the proper tennis technique into their repertoire to help them produce the big shots they hit on every ball. It isn't so much that top players such as Roger Federer or Andre Agassi are stronger than the majority of us, or that they were born with some kind of natural born talent, I've seen 12 year old junior players hit the ball as hard as grown men.

What's missing from many recreational, club tennis, junior and some collegiate players alike is a sound technical foundation. Poor or incorrect tennis strokes will break down under pressure costing you games, sets and then matches. The importance of constantly working to improve one's tennis game is understated.

Although the majority of recreational and club tennis players will not be able to hit the tennis ball as well as Andre Agassi, have the athleticism of Rafael Nadal, or the grace of Roger Federer, this doesn't mean that the concepts behind their tennis strokes cannot be studied and applied into your own tennis game.

Great tennis players share commonalities in tennis technique.

One of the amazing things I learned after numerous years of studying the technique of top tennis professional players is that they all share commonalities in tennis technique. There are certain very distinct elements on every tennis stroke (whether it's the tennis forehand, backhand or serve) that top tennis pros all have in common. After hours of reviewing and looking over many slow motion tennis videos, it became obvious that there were certain elements that were in their technique which were responsible for the high quality shots they produced whether it be forehand, backhand, serves or vollies.

I reasoned, "If they did it, why shouldn't everyone else be able to do it too?"

It was shocking to me when I found out that alot of the tennis technique that I observed in the tennis strokes of all the top tennis players were rarely present in those of club and recreational tennis players. Although these commonalties I observed were in the tennis strokes of all the top players, they were completely missing in the games of average tennis players.

These "tennis techniques" aren't exactly difficult to master

Many of these technical aspects I observed in the games of world class tennis players weren't necessarily difficult to incorporate. It was just a matter of whether it was recognized and understood. I realized that most traditional tennis instruction, especially at the club and recreational levels fail to teach tennis in a way that resembles the way world class tennis is played. Most tennis instruction completely misses these basic elements that are present in all the high level tennis players of today.

Watching tennis professionals play in slow motion video can be an exhilirating experience. Slowed down in split-screen seconds reveals a lot of the tennis technique that top pros incorporate, and it happens so fast, like the blink of an eye that most people completely miss out on these "key movements."

Should I learn to copy the pros?

This is a question that most tennis players have when they look at improving their tennis technique. Most people are told that they should not "copy" the pros, because the "pros are pros." Some tennis players are told that it would be even detrimental to copy the pros, because replicating their strokes could cause injury or worse. But again, nothing could be further from the truth. Although it's impractical to copy a professional's tennis stroke move by move, there are basic tennis technique that could be incorporated into your tennis game; and when added to your game, could drastically improve tennis technique and the rest of your tennis game.

I'm willing to share the proper tennis technique and methods with you

If you improve tennis technique and learn the tennis lessons in my ebook, this will pay huge dividends with your tennis results oncourt and offcourt. Often times, even a slight adjustment to the tennis technique (whether it be forehand, backhand or serve) will result in great change. Inefficient tennis technique will prevent a player from reaching their potential (power, spin, depth, and even shot selection)

Here's Why You Should Improve your Tennis Technique

Hitting the tennis ball with better tennis technique will give you greater options on the court, meaning better overall shot selection. The Optimum Tennis Ebook covers proper tennis stroke techniques for the three most important strokes, your forehand, backhand and serve

Increased Power, More Topspin and Greater Depth.
It's no secret. Tennis players with better overall tennis technique and form have an advantage to those players with incorrect or poor tennis strokes. It's a tough job to constantly rely on just your court sense and strategy to win a tennis match - and when facing higher level tennis players, tennis strokes that won't break down under pressure are essential

Confidence. Knowing that you have solid tennis technique on all of your tennis strokes that will not break down under pressure will give you more confidence in match play as well as greater enjoyment of the game.
